Well, that wraps up our Barn Markets for 2011 and what a final market it was!!! Thank you to our very loyal customers and those who have just discovered The Barn Market for the first time. We really appreciate your messages of support and encouragement and love that you think the market is 'just right' and fits in perfectly on the Eastern Shore.
We'll be back in 2012 with dates to be released very shortly. In the meantime, we wish you a fun-filled and relaxing festive season.
Check out this great little clip put together by Think Tasmania. It features images from our previous Twilight Market and will give you an idea of some of the goodies that will be on offer this Saturday. Love It!!
Make your list, check it twice and then come and tick it all off at THIS Saturday's Christmas Barn Market. With stalls aplenty and lots of variety, you'll be spoilt for choice! We'll also be holding a competition (one for the adults and one for the kids) to go in the draw to win a hamper packed full of 'handmade' goodies from all of our stallholders.
4 Days to go. Here is a little sample of what you can expect...
Perhaps we should put our big sunnies and our oversized baseball cap on? We feel like a bit of a celebrity (well, perhaps thats a bit over the top). We are SUPER excited to have a little feature about The Barn Market in the latest edition of Shop 4 Kids magazine, alongside a handful of other beautiful markets throughout Australia. It may be a little hard to see on your screen, but you get the idea! Very exciting!
3 weeks until the Christmas Barn Market; Saturday 26th November, 10:00 - 3:00.
Think Tasmania is a great resource for Tasmanians and tourists alike. It's a mix of Tasmanian hot spots, stories about locals, accommodation reviews, Tasmanian experiences and much, much more. In recent weeks, they have been sharing articles featuring an array of The Barn Markets stallholders.
Here are the first three articles for you to peruse, and with our SPECTACULAR Christmas market hurtling towards us, they are a little taste of just some of the goodies that will be up for the taking!
You can view the article about 'Mad About Apples' here; and let me tell you - our customers certainly are more than a little bit mad about Melita's apples.
The 'Pili Pala Pieces' article can be found here; a little insight into yours truly and my own brand.
And finally, read all about how Tamsin from 'Flatpack Bakers' got started here. As per usual, we're sure her stall will be cleared out at the end of our upcoming Christmas market. Don't miss out - she has lots of great gift packs.
Keep an eye on the Think Tasmania website for more articles featuring our very talented and lovely bunch of makers and designers.
The Barn Market offers the people of Hobart and, more specifically the Eastern Shore, a high quality market where they can find unique and locally made products as well as enjoy coffee, delicious snacks and craft demonstrations.

There are 2 rounds of applications that go before the panel each year; the first round of applications for the year closed January 2013 and our second round will close on 15th June 2013. We are always looking for artisans who hand make, design and produce high quality and unique products. Please email us to request an application kit to become a stall holder at The Barn Market.
Please be aware that some categories of products (such as jewellery and children's products) are now in abundance at The Barn Market. In order to avoid over saturation of any one product type, we are now placing successful applicants in such categories on a waiting list to contact if a current stall holder from the same category ceases to participate.
If you are a musician or in a band and have a music style that would suit the market atmosphere, please contact us for a busker application pack.
Fresh Produce and Cut Flowers:
If you are interested in selling fruit and vegetables, bakery products, cut flowers, etc at one of our markets, please get in touch with us. We have a small allocation of sites for these products.
