Market #3 - THIS SATURDAY!!!

This Saturday’s Barn Market promises to be another jam-packed event, overflowing with a diverse range of beautiful treats. And, of course, there will be some aromatic coffee, delectable hot food and scrumptious baked goods on offer as well. You will be able to peruse an array of hand-crafted/designed wares including; adults clothing, children’s clothing and accessories, homewares, stationary, jewellery, fabrics, and lovely gift ideas.

And, as always, you’ll be serenaded whilst you shop, by the upbeat tunes of a wide variety of buskers both inside and out. So, why don’t you make it a family outing and not only come to peruse some hand made goodies, but take the chance to grab a snack and a drink and soak up the atmosphere. Clarence High School Band will be running the BBQ in an effort to fundraise for their band trip to New Zealand later in the year. They will be serving up eggs and bacon first thing in the morning with a sausage sizzle to follow later in the day.

Please note; there are plenty of seats in the courtyard for those in the family who are the ‘not-into-shopping’ type with undercover space available.

Makers Demonstrations

We are pleased to announce that Trace Willans of 'Soewn Earth' will be running 2 demonstrations on the fundamentals of the art of bundling with natural dyes. 'What's Bundling?', I hear you ask. Well, it is the art of placing actual leaves onto fabric and rolling them up inside the fabric so that the colour transfers directly onto the cloth.

The demonstrations will cover areas such as choosing fabric, plants and found metal to add to your bundle and the various ways of processing your bundle for different effects. Trace will also have dyed and undyed fabric in various lengths available for purchase on the day.

Demonstrations will run for approximately 10 minutes in the marquee in the courtyard at 11am and 1pm. Participation is free!
