Winter, Santa & our biggest market yet!!!

Ho Ho Ho - Merry Christmas in Winter! What a massive 2 days and what a turn-out! Despite the terrible weather we saw floods of people enjoying the beautiful products from our very talented artisans, slurping mulled wine, dropping crumbs from the scrumptious gourmet sausages, pies and sweet treats and laughing along with Santa whilst they had their photo in the Partybooth. There was hardly room to move inside the Barn, and we can only imagine what it would have been like if the weather had have been fine.

Saturday saw a consistent and steady flow of patrons either rewarding themselves after voting, or trying to distract themselves and avoid voting. They were tempted by a record number of artisan stalls offering goods such as; children’s wares, jewellery, stationary, home wares, baked goods, clothing, bathroom accessories and gifts. Oh, and have we mentioned the gourmet pies, sizzling sausages, hot chocolate and mulled wine? And, not to forget, the stunning range of wines from Observatory Hill Winery. You also couldn’t miss our very talented musicians/buskers who create such an upbeat atmoshphere, our skilled children’s storyteller and our popular makers demonstration presenter - Amy from Willow Street - who drew crowds and created much interest.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all our stallholders for their participation, smiling faces, beautiful presentation and stunning wares, the community for its great turn-out and never-ending support and the Clarence City Council and the Rosny Barn for allowing us to take over the beautiful building/grounds that make The Barn Market such a success!
