Maker's Demonstrations

This Market we're excited to have Diane Brown Leadlights & Mosaics running demonstrations on the fundamentals of Mosaic.

The demonstrations will cover areas such as what glue's to use and when, tools needed and what materials you can use. Diane will also have small DIY kits and various tools available for purchase on the day.

We encourage you to be there at either the 11.00 am or the 1.00 pm demonstrations, and learn from one of our fabulous Maker's!

Applications Due - Saturday 20th March

It's that time again! If you wish to apply to be a stallholder at The Barn Market, the next group of applications will be going before the panel shortly - so make sure you get them in with up to 6 photos of your lovely products by the Saturday 20th March.

If you haven't already requested an application pack, please do so by emailing; thebarnmarket@gmail.com.

Don't forget, we are also looking for stalls to sell fresh produce such as bakery products, fruit and vege, cut flowers, etc, so if you think this category might apply to you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

And finally, we are still accepting applications from buskers who think their music might suit a market vibe - if this is you, please email requesting a buskers application pack.

So, there's one month to go until the next Barn Market, and we are just a little excited. We would once again want to thank everyone who supported and attended the first Barn Market and made it such a success. Heres to the next one, may it be even more exciting and bursting at the seams with beautiful products to peruse.

More to come soon...

Our very first market!

Yesterday saw our inaugural Barn Market and what a day it turned out to be!

Even though there were sprinklings of rain it didn’t keep the community away as people poured in to peruse the craft wares on offer. Many people reported that the barn was a spectacular venue with the courtyard serving as a beautiful setting to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and a bbq item - yum yum. There was an array of unique craft products available including jewellery, stationary, children’s items, fudge, bath products, dolls, pottery, felt goodies, home wares and even some junk from the tip upcycled to create amazing little critters. And to top it off there was often a tapping foot or two to be found in response to the background tunes from a selection of buskers.

Thank you to everyone from the community who came out to support The Barn Market. Make sure you mark the date for our next market in your diary – you never know what you’ll find.

Craft Workshops & Maker Demonstrations

We are pleased to announce that one of the highlights of our market will be workshops. At each market we are hoping to showcase a workshop where stallholders can share their craft with the public. The workshop will be brief and repeated several times throughout the day.

At our first market this Saturday Miriam Grice from Jasmine Rose will be presenting 2 workshops on paper marbling. Miriam will present at 11.30am and 1.00pm - we hope you can make it to one of these.

Things are gearing up for this weekends event and it even looks like the weather will play nice.

Continue to spread the word, and we can't wait to see you there.
