The Barn Market was in full swing on Saturday...

with a wide range of high quality art and craft products on offer, scrumptious food, delectable coffee, cheerful live music and a very festive atmosphere. Right on 10am the patrons began pouring in to enjoy the goods on offer. At this, the second Barn Market, there were a few familiar artisans and several new kids on the block offering items such as jewellery, children’s clothing, ceramics, chocolates and stationary, just to name a few.

Now, how can we not tell you about the aroma from the fresh bread, coffee and sausages – (drool!). We were lucky enough to have the Bellerive Bakehouse tempt our senses with a selection of fresh bakery goods including salad rolls, loaves, slices, tarts and biscuits. You also couldn’t miss Goroka Coffee in their new blue van, and we were pleased to have Eastside Lutheran College return to run a BBQ as a fundraiser for their school.

Overall it was a very successful, enjoyable day where people could come and lap up the atmosphere, purchase some handcrafted goods, have a nibble and drink and relax on a bench or under a tree. If you weren’t able to pop in yesterday, look below at the products available from our very talented artisans – you won’t want to miss it again.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our artisans and produce suppliers and for all of your very encouraging comments throughout the day. We are looking forward to making this an even more exciting event, over time, for both stallholders and patrons alike. If you would like to have your say on what you would like to see at this community event, please make a ‘comment’. We value your suggestions on how to make this artisan event even more appealing.

Our next market is on Saturday 5th June, 10.00am – 3.00pm. We’re already looking forward to it! Let’s make it a date - see you there!

Maker's Demonstrations

This Market we're excited to have Diane Brown Leadlights & Mosaics running demonstrations on the fundamentals of Mosaic.

The demonstrations will cover areas such as what glue's to use and when, tools needed and what materials you can use. Diane will also have small DIY kits and various tools available for purchase on the day.

We encourage you to be there at either the 11.00 am or the 1.00 pm demonstrations, and learn from one of our fabulous Maker's!
